Tweed River Twilight Dive

Published Sat 13 Jan 2018

Ten divers entered the placid waters of the Tweed River beneath a beautiful sunset. This site is well known to most club members but darkness reveals a different side. On other dives, divers have seen eagle rays, turtles, bull rays, yellow catfish, moray eels, octopus and other interesting visitors.

As twilight descended a gentle shower created a rainbow and a pod of dolphins swam up-river above the torch lights of the divers (who, sadly, were oblivious).

Divers reported seeing lots, but of particular interest was a Frogfish!

Everyone returned perfectly on time and after debreif we adjourned for a steak in Coolangatta. Overall a successful dive.
