Ex HMAS Brisbane

After a couple of cancelled trips to the Brisbane seven divers gathered around at 7AM to assemble all the gear (and Tim’s GIANT camera) and loading the boat for the 8am departure. A small drama happened and we had quick detour back to the harbor. (Always remember to check you have got all the gear with you before departure!)

We all had a really great dive with some training and practice. And the visibility was good! Rich and Tim had a fun time for doing different photographing and modelling. Ray was focusing on the dive assisting and Daniel was working on the depth progression.

It was a little bit cold and windy during the surface interval but we managed to survive it with the lovely hot tea and breads. Ray was also very focus on filling the dive logs for everyone.

On the second dive the vis turned down a little bit and the temperature dropped. However, Gavin and Tim were still actively going around the wreck and taking photos. We also did some exploration inside the wreck and here’s one fact I found, there are toilets everywhere!

After the dives we had our usual BSAC social meeting. We headed to the fish and chips shop and had our debrief there with some gorgeous food (and someone was trying to give us some free beer at the window).
